Fat and Bloated, Home From Vacation

Well, we're home from vacation.

Now I need a vacation from all this laundry and other misc stuff we brought home I have to find places for.

(You'll be happy to know DH brought home all the bottlecaps from vacation PLUS a couple of wine corks.)

Ate tooooo much. Now I need some fast acting de-fattening elixir or diet pills or something. Gah.

Actually I've never taken diet pills. I don't even know too much about them. I've heard that if you take that new Alli you'd better carry an extra pair of panties around with you - or two! Maybe even an extra pair of pants. And a roll of toilet paper. I've heard of Phentermine, but I don't know if you can get Phentermine without prescription? Eh, I think I'll just try my "go-to" diet. It's called, "Stop Eating So Much". That usually works. It's not a lot of fun though. I've done Weight Watchers in the past with good results, but right now I cannot eat another Boca Burger. I already did that in the early part of this year. At the weight I'm at I only get 20 points and I'm sorry but for me anyway, that's nearly starvation level. Even with the 35 extra weekly points. Of which I always ate every. single. one.

I haven't even gotten the pictures off the camera yet, but I'll post some pics of beautiful Maine later this week. We went to Ogunquit, and I'd never been there before. I've been to Boothbay Harbor a number of times. Only been to Acadia once - I'd love to go back there again someday.

Gotta mow the lawn today. I don't feel like it but I looked on the weather and there's a cactus on Thursday's weather so I guess I'd better not put it off. It's not like the lawn is a foot tall anyway. Oh wait, it is.

The laundry buzzer is summoning me. Sigh.

The End.

  1. Hey welcome back! When I return from vacation, I'm usually starved cuz I'm such a miser on money for food. I hear ya about the laundry and and the baubles!

    Glad your back. :D

  2. As a person who has tried everything on the diet market, I can give you some advice. Alli is the new name for a medication called Xenical, at half the prescription strength. It is not absorbed by the body, but traps fat in food so that the fat passes directly through your digestive system. This oil tends to drip out of the end of your digestive system without your being able to control it. I don't know if half the prescription strength lessens this effect, but I can tell you that having an "oily discharge" and lack of bowel control are not fun things. You can try "Depends" or something like that if you want, but honestly, they're not enough. I only took this for a short time, lost no weight because I wasn't on it long enough, and would never take it again. Phentermine is probably available online, but I'd be careful since it's an amphetamine. When I was on this, I had to go for EKG's on a regular basis because it can cause problems with the heart. I lost some weight because I was never hungry, but as soon as I stopped taking it, I was hungry again, and all the weight came back. There is no quick fix, and even slow fixes don't work so good...results not typical is something I see everywhere. So, good luck, but Weight Watchers, as difficult as it is, is probably the best. If you didn't go to meetings, you didn't get your points booster...various amounts of physical activity count as extra "activity points" you can eat during the day, if you choose to...mowing the lawn could add up to a hot fudge sundae! :)

  4. I was eating my yogurt breakfast as I read Krissy's comment, - thanks for the visual! As this Harvest Peach yogurt no longer wants to go down, I think I've discovered a diet alternative.

I read each and every comment, and though I don't always get a chance to respond, I enjoy reading (and pondering) what you have to say. Thanks for your 2 cents! :-)
