If you live outside of the NY-NJ-CT area, you may never have had GOOD NY style pizza (medium crust, not deep dish).You may THINK you've had good pizza, but you probably didn't.
I forget when I travel out of the tri-state area that the pizza is not usually very good. In fact sometimes it's really bad. I made the mistake of having pizza while we were on vacation in Maine.
I should have known when I saw the sign selling "pizza and roast beef" that this was not serious pizza country.
I am loving your posts about your trip! I used to live in CT, yet never got the chance to travel up to Maine. It is on my bucket list. Keep up the posts!

ReplyDeleteI never thought about what life would be like living away from Italians and pizza.... I have mixed emotions right now, LOL. (I live near Utica, aka Little Italy).
