Can someone please explain to me, in simple English, why I should want to switch to Wordpress? Apparently I'm missing out on lots of something? And I'm limited by using Blogger?
I've read numerous articles about it, but, can someone just give me some straight talk?
And just how much trouble is it to self-host and have a Wordpress blog? I see offers like, "...and painless Wordpress installation...", and I hear lots of groans when there's a new Wordpress update - WHY? Is using Wordpress and being self-hosted really that painful?
This might be too much to explain in a comment, so here's my email: cksstuff at yahoo dot com if you feel benevolent and wanna help a girl out.
If anyone manages to make the lightbulb go on over my head I'll be glad to give linky love, or post what you wrote, or add you to my blogroll, be eternally grateful, etc. etc. for the best answer.
You can't have my firstborn though. Just want to make that clear. :-)
The end.
In fact, this is a question many bloggers are thinking about. But people still enjoy a good blog as long as its content is good. So take it easy.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta go with whichever suits you best, but as a WordPress user since version 0.72 (or something like that... I know it started with a zero), I'll say it's just plain fun.
ReplyDeleteI'll continue to enjoy your "Thoughtful Spot" no matter, so go with whichever makes you happier.
The only thing i miss about wordpress is the ability to have multiple pages. Which may be possible somehow in blogger too but damned if I can find out how. I HATE wordpress though.

ReplyDeleteHmmm. It seems like those who use WordPress, do just that, use WordPress. No comments about it or what's so great about it. On the other hand, lots of hate (not necessarily just within these comments).
