No I'm not pregnant!
But I'm sure you're wondering why the heck would I have gotten a stroller as a present.
Well, it's not just any old stroller - its a cat stroller!
It was at the blog of Daisy the Curly Cat where I first saw one of these and just KNEW we HAD to have this! (Our isn't as fancy as Daisy's, but since this is our kitties' first stroller, they don't know it's not a Cadillac. We don't even need auto insurance!)
Our kitties Basil and Q-ee (the Cat Jerk) are indoor cats and so finally now they can see the outside world and accompany us on our travels! We've already taken each of them to the bus stop in the morning and the afternoon. DD is so excited to get off the bus and one of our kitties is there to meet her. IT'S SO CUTE!!
Today we took the kitties out in shifts. DD rode her bike while I pushed the cats around.
Here's Basil out for a stroll. She's a very shy kitty, so she's still kinda nervous about this contraption.
Here's Q-ee. Hardly anything rocks the Q-ee boat, but he did seem to find his first few trips very exciting.
Now he's chillin'.
(That's DD way in the background on the left riding her bike. Before she rode in the gravel and fell and skinned her knee. Which I had warned her about. Which is a whole 'nother story that I doubt I will post about because I'm trying to erase the trauma and the drama from my memory banks!)
DD and I are just having the MOST FUN with this stroller! More than the cats are, I'm sure.
The reason I got it early is that I didn't want to wait until Christmas when it may be too cold to take the cats out (since they are not used to the cold) and be stuck waiting until spring to use the stroller.
So our thanks go to DH for letting me get this really awesomely cool stroller as my early Christmas present.
(Yes, he laughed at me. Heh. But he still let me get it! Isn't he great?) :-P
The end.
OMG it's great!
ReplyDeleteNext thing you know, you'll be having Fashion Friday! ;)
That's so nice you got it as an early Christmas present--makes perfect sense to me! I bet your cats enjoyed getting to see more of the world, huh?
ReplyDeleteMy dad's favorite black cat used to like riding around on his wheelchair. I imagine riding in the stroller would be similar.
How fun is that! You know you are going to get people leaning over to see the cute baby and then jump back in surprise to find it's a kitty! That's fun!

Oooooh! Lucky, lucky you! I have been bugging my husband about one of these for a long time. We've got our cat used to walking a little bit on a leash, but I've wanted a stroller for a while. Keep me updated on how it's working out!

Carole, your beautiful kitties are so lucky! I've been hinting to my humans for years now and I still don't have a stroller!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! I have two cats and and I can't even get them near the door, they are so afraid of the outdoors. At least I still have one more baby to push around in a stroller :)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous! I have been trying to convince my husband we need a cat stroller (he just doesn't get it). I hope you, your daughter and the cats have a fabulous time traveling the neighborhood.
ReplyDeletei am so glad you posted this - i was on the fence but now the new baby and the fat cat are in for a spin! yay!
