Pooh's Thoughtful Spot is located halfway between Pooh's house and Piglet's original house. It is protected from the wind and is a good spot for "deciding what to do today". This spot right here is my "thoughtful spot".

A Very Soggy Geocache - Side Note from Our Trip to Yankee Candle Flagship Store

We geocached on the way there and on the way back (found six total for the day - all cache-n-dashes though, weather was not good enough for anything more than that!) and on my geocaching blog I posted about one of the geocaches we found, if you're interested:

The end.

Oops, for some reason, Google signed me in as anonymous. :S That was me who said, "ouch."

:D

How's your weekend?

Yikes! I am really intrigued by this! I think my sister and brother in law might be into it too. Might be a good 'Resolution' for next year!

Looks like a fun activity - Geocaching. Kids are all grown up now, but maybe we'll try it.

Oh - I'm totally with you on reducing my use of exclamation points!! (oops)

What's the end goal for geocaching>? Fun?

I was looking at "some of your better posts" and went back to read the "Bad Idea Jeans" post. It was from before I started reading your blog. Someone referenced "more cowbell" in one of the comments, and it was so ironic...I was just discussing "more cowbell" with my Mom the other day. I was looking at funny t-shirts, and one of them said, "more cowbell". I didn't know what it meant, and neither did my Mom, and we assumed that therefore it probably meant something obscene. I didn't know it was from SNL. I watched the skit...it's hysterical. I think I have a fever now too. :D

By the way, yesterday I was shopping at Kohls (getting deals on stuff of more than 80% off!!!....that deserved exclaimation points), and I remember seeing jewelry in little plastic bags. So, here is a link to a jewelry supply site where you can buy those little baggies.

That's true multi-tasking!

Now that would be a disappointment. I try to carry baggies with me to help logs that are seeing a bit of wear.

Mrs. Mecomber - well, as unpleasant as a wet log is, it is better than ticks or poison ivy at least. :-P

The Empty Envelope - Geocaching is tons of fun. I think my favorite part is all the interesting places it takes us.

Muirwoodsue - You should totally try it - it IS lots of fun. (I was going to use an exclamation point there, but I held back.)

Tazdog - The "goal" of geocaching is to find the geocache - which contains a logbook to sign, and also may contain other trinkets or other items to move from geocache to geocache. Then when you get home you can log your finds online and keep track of how many you have and which ones you've found. Or haven't found! Currently we have over 600 finds.

Krissy - "More Cowbell" is most definitely one of my most favorite SNL skits EVAH. (See how I didn't use an exclamation point there either?)

Lynne - Well, we've been geocaching for so long we've got it down to a science. :-D

Chris - Yeah, we carry ziplocs too but we didn't have any of those tiny ones for the micro. :-( It'll be wet again in no time.
