Pooh's Thoughtful Spot is located halfway between Pooh's house and Piglet's original house. It is protected from the wind and is a good spot for "deciding what to do today". This spot right here is my "thoughtful spot".

Well, I Did It.

I bought my own domain name!  I should have done it waaaay sooner, but I didn't realize it would be so easy.

If you forget, don't worry - Blogger will redirect you.

I want to tell you we went to NYC to enjoy the holidays on Friday and I have pics and lots to tell about our trip (yes, we saw the tree in Rockefeller Center), but I had some technical difficulties and wasn't able to get the pics off the camera right away and so I don't have my post ready for today.  However, I had such fun with my "Randomivity" post the other day, here are more of my random thoughts to tide you over...

* I hate when you go shopping and they give you your receipt and they tell you "call this number and answer the survey and you can win a prize".  You know what?  10,000 people are gonna call and there's gonna be like one prize of $100.  I have NO interest in contests I have no chance of winning.  Well, except Publisher's Clearing House.

* I like this version of "The 30-Second Rule" that I saw at The Man in the Moon:  "Food that gets picked up off the ground in less than 30 seconds is still edible and may in fact contain additional vitamins and minerals making it even better for your body than it was before."

* Gettin' a liiiiiiiiittle tired of reading about Dragon Naturally Speaking, and being told to "Be a Magpie".

* Yes, there ARE a lot of cat blogs on Entrecard, but I'm lucky 'cause I like cats.

* If you don't update your blog in a really long time I won't return your Entrecard drop.  I beg of you, for the love of Pete, stop dropping and use that time to write a post!  (I'm tired of looking at that hamster!)

* Someday I'd like to go to las vegas nevada.  Just to see it.

* We don't have a "Sonic" restaurant around here, but from what I hear, people seem to love Sonic.  I wish I had Sonic.  I think I'm missing out on something good.

* It's kind of astonishing to me that egg nog is sold in half gallons.  Can anyone really drink all that egg nog?  At best I can drink like, a cup of it.  I mean, I like it, but whew, that stuff is rich.

The End.

Congratulations on the new domain name! You have arrived!

I like the cat blogs too. Throw a couple of cat photos at me and I am happy. I think I have missed the hamster. Is he as cute as the cat photos?

Have a great day!

Oh, I am a Sonic lover! And, the funny thing there is that everything comes "Sonic Size", which is bigger than large. Can't beat that! :o)

Congratulations on your new domain name!!

We don't have a Sonic restaurant here either, but I see their commercials all the time and really wish we did. :)

The only way I can drink egg nog is to add some 7-up, or other lemon/lime soda, to it. That tends to thin it down a bit and make it less rich.

Have a wonderful day!! :)

Sonic is a pretty darn cool place, but it used to be much cooler. When I was little it was one of my favorite places to go - mainly because the waitresses were all on roller skates. Nothing like having your foot-long chili cheese dog delivered right to your car window on a tray carried by a rolling waitress.

Congratulations on your domain name. I can't wait to see the NYC pics.
I love Sonic but there are none that I can find here in Vermont.
And, I think I could probably drink a gallon of eggnog by myself. I'd get sick but I love the stuff and it's a once a year thing. That's why I had to stop buying it at all.

I must be an oddball. I don't find much I like at Sonic.

Amen on updating blogs. I look to see if they drop on me so I can delete their blog from my favorites but they have dropped like 25 times on me! Why don't they ever post to their own blog???

Aw congrats on the domain name! Love the point about updating your blog too instead of dropping cards hehe. Thanks for visiting my blog :)

Congrats! All the more reason to come visit me. We just got a Sonic. Then we can go to the Mall and visit the American Girls store. Cause I really don't think my boys want to go there.

Looking forward to your photos!!

Congrats on the name change!

About the eggnog: funny-- I've always wondered why on earth they make it in such SMALL containers. I've always lived in large families, and only have a gulp before it's passed along... by the way, milk dilutes it a little and makes it more drinkable (and shareable).

About Dragon Naturally Speaking-- hey I made about 50 bucks from all those ads, lol. Plus, I wasn't too keen on the stuff until reading more (and more and more) about it. Now, I think I want one!

By the way, and I hope I'm not being a party pooper here-- Your PageRank for your Blogger blog is not passed along when you change your domain name. It's a real bummer...

1. I think you're forgetting to add the rum to the eggnog. It is not pre-mixed.

2. Sonic franchises are very carefully controlled by the company itself, and they have their own plan for expansion into new areas. You can't get just call up and get one anywhere, Dave and I already checked.

Congrats on the new domain. Never been in a Sonic. I've kinda sworn off fast food.

Hey I followed your link here from Twitter, but I had to copy & paste the link to get here. If you are a Firefox user, go to http://twitthat.com/ and drag the widget to your browser. That way you can provide live links to your tweets. Pretty cool add-on.

Anything to make Tweeting easier.

Anne - Unfortunately the "hamster" is NOT, in fact, nearly as cute as the cat-blog-cats. :-)

4 Lettre Words - "Sonic Size", huh? I like that! At McD's (as I'm sure you're aware) you can "supersize" your meal. There's one value meal they had at one time (or maybe they still have it) - it was something like a DOUBLE quarter pounder with cheese - and no offense to anyone - but we nicknamed the supersize version of that value meal the "Glutton Meal".

AK Mom - I've never heard of adding 7up or lemon lime soda to eggnog to "thin" it out - I'll have to try that.

Did you notice how good I'm doing so far not over-using exclamation points?

Telecommuting Lisa - Wow, does Sonic still have foot long chili dogs? We don't have anyplace around here that sells those. Now I REALLY want Sonic.

Daisy - You are by far one of my most favorite online kitties to visit. I love your Fashion Fridays especially. I would like to dress up my cats, but my one cat would need "plus size". Do cat clothes come in "plus" I wonder? Heh.

Mountain Woman - I know - aren't there like 3000 calories in one cup of eggnog? DD requested some so I bought a pint. This year I found some that came in flavors - sugar cookie, cinnamon and gingerbread cookie. I got the cinnamon one, but haven't tried it yet.

Karen - I know, one of the many mysteries of Entrecard - how people could invest so much time dropping cards each day and yet not invest any time writing for their blog they are spending so much time promoting. (In robot voice) Does-not-compute.

Ruthie - I wish there was a button on the Entrecard toolbar that you could push to let the blogger know that you're sick of reading the same old post.

Glitzen - Since you're an eggnog lover, have you seen and tried the new flavors they have this year? I want to know how the gingerbread one is...

Rebecca - I don't mean to rag on your personally about the Dragon Naturally Speaking. In fact of all the blogs I read, you are a master at making a paid post interesting! :-) And wow, $50, that's awesome - your good writing paid off, literally!
Eh, it doesn't come as a big surprise that I've lost my page rank with my new domain. Isn't there rumored to be another page rank round from Google in January? I wonder how I will fare...

John - Ah, rum! I have actually had eggnog with rum in it once, years ago, at a Christmas tree farm, believe it or not. It was a small place and besides hot chocolate, the owner had spiked eggnog. Can't do that these days. Somebody would find a way to sue him for something. Bummer about Sonic. I can't get Wegmans (the best supermarket EVAH) to come here either. I keep trying though.

Tonka-boy - Thank you SO much for the heads up about my link and the suggestion of twitthat - I added it to my brower - thanks a bunch!
