Surveys that offer you a CHANCE to win a prize for spending your valuable time giving them information is SUCH A SCAM.
I watched the inauguration and enjoyed it very much, however, although yes, I totally agree that GWB did not exactly leave our country in good order, I think the commentators could have said something about GWB keeping us safe all these years from terrorist attacks. C'mon, the man served our country for 8 years doing a very hard job - how about taking 10 seconds out of your tirade to mention ONE GOOD THING he did? Give the man a little respect.
When was the last time you bought Palmolive? I just bought some the other day and it's totally the same since I was a kid! That green Palmolive smell brought back childhood memories. And hey, it's pretty good dish soap!
This is how DH likes his nachos:
I know most men don't really like to spend a lot of time thinking about or planning their outfits, but it cracks me up that DH has a "default" Monday work shirt.
Every now and then I go through my Entrecard "favorites" one by one that I drop on most often and I check to see that they drop back frequently. If not, then I delete ya.
Weight Watchers Smart Ones Thai Noodles = blecccch!
Tea is my 'go to' snack lately. I don't put sugar or milk in it. I drink herbal tea though, which I realize isn't really tea. I think DH refers to it as "flowers and stems" or something like that.
Attention all aging celebrities: Please ask Donny & Marie Osmond who their plastic surgeon is, because the two of them must be 100 by now and they look FANTASTIC!
I like the "clunk" my truck makes when it goes in and out of 4 wheel drive.
DD is 10 years old but I still check to see if she's breathing when I look in on her before I go to bed each night. I know it's silly, I can't help it. Did I miss the memo where they tell you the age we're supposed to stop doing this?
DH always falls asleep before I do and when I'm not looking or I get up to go do something he sets the sleep timer on the TV for 30 minutes so it shuts off on me when I'm not expecting it. What is really annoying is that by then he's asleep so my dirty looks and mutterings have no effect.
The deafer my cat has gotten, the lounder she meows. I totally had NO IDEA a cat could meow as loud as she does.
OK, ARE WE ALL SICK AND TIRED OF THAT HORRIBLE BELLYFAT AD YET?? Where on Earth did they get the money to advertise on every corner of the Internet?? Haven't we all been traumatized by those awful pictures enough??
The end.
Carole, George Bush took us to war in Iraq based on lies about weapons of mass destruction. I will never forgive him for that. Thousands of U.S. soldiers, many of them just kids, did not have to die. Thousands have been seriously wounded. We still haven't caught bin Laden. Bush was president when 9/11 happened, the worst terrorist attack in our history. He drove this country off of a cliff. It is up to Barack Obama to get us back on the right track. The Bush presidency was a disaster for this country.
ReplyDeleteCarol,... keep on checking on that beautiful DD,... before long she'll be grown and moved on into her own life and won't be in that bedroom right down the hall. Mine is now a mom herself, and I'd love to have just one more day/night with my little kids.
ReplyDeleteRambling minds want to know which would be me. I enjoy reading all your eclectic thoughts, they're very entertaining and certainly never boring.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Now on the other hand, Weight Watchers GIANT Cookies and Cream Bars...oh my goodness...yum yum yum. Thank you thank you thank you for introducing them to me. AND I love fruit punch...I guess I never got out of my Brownie days when we used to have Hawaiian Punch and Oreos for snack. :) Both 4C and Crystal Light make fruit punch flavor to put in your water. 4C has no calories, and Crystal Light has 5...not bad! I think these things are a major reason why I've been staying on track. Another 2 lbs down. Officially 30 altogether once again. :) Hope you do great this week too!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this is the best post I have read today. That belly fat ad drives me nuts!!
ReplyDeleteI loved your blog! I totally agree with you on the GWB thing, then again I am married to a soldier who is in Iraq more than he is home, and we know the truth, and it isnt what the media has put out there! Have a good day! Your blog is cute!
ReplyDeleteLots of thoughts there, geesh. I like the one where you check on the kids--I do that. I don't think I'll ever stop worrying. They'll grow up, get married, have kids of their own and I'll just have more people to worry about. Did you ever see that book "Love you forever" (I think that's the name), and the mom uses a ladder to climb up into her grown son's apartment to hold him while he sleeps. That would be me. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. That is an impressive array of thoughts laid out in record time! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the GWB. I also wonder how long it will take for the 'love affair' with the Big O to be over for the media. So far he can do no wrong and I wonder if they'll be as afraid to criticize his policies because of the racial stuff. I hope not. I hope they can treat him just like 'any other President'. And if that means they start treating every President with a little more respect, that would be even better. Oh- and I never voted for GW, I'm not a fan but come ON!
I guess I never got the memo either, Carole. My girls are 20 and 19 years old, and I still occasionally check on them, while they're sleeping, to see if they're breathing. :)
ReplyDeleteI had a Lean Cuisine the other night that was pretty bad too - some sort of chicken in goo and a TON of rice. Awful. And I usually don't mind their stuff.
ReplyDeletelove the ramblings...too funny
ReplyDeleteHa ha, you crack me up. Good thoughts, all of them! I have a cat who answers you EVERY time you talk to her. She is the most talkative cat I have ever even heard of. Drives me batty sometimes but I love her to death.
ReplyDeleteI check my girls too. Sometimes they breathe way too quiet! :)
I have to say, I love the CLUNK of shifting into 4-wheel drive too! Never thought about it until you brought it to my attention. I love your blog! :)
Ugh! Ditto about that belly fat ad. Gross. I heard that it was Weight Watchers thst did the ad campaign for that.
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Kidding! ;)
Good post, as usual. I still check on my kids, too. Must be a mom thing.
You bring up a good point about GWB (not a fan but I respect him). I also thought that the commentators were over aggressive when Obama said something about change I don't really think they were directed AT Bush but more towards congress specifically the Republicans who are being stubborn and evn to the Democrats who are being stubborn and therefore stopping progress.
ReplyDeletesorry didn't think my thought that was long.
Guy and clothes are baffeling!
Sounds like your husband has a great sense of humor. I'd love to see the look on your face when the tv snaps off. Ha!
ReplyDeleteI totally hear you on the belly fat ads...gah!!
Hi!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the entre card tips.
You absolutely crack me up, lol!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you on GWB. I know he did not have a lot of fans, but I truly believe that was in large part due to the liberal media. The media has YET to tell it like it is in Iraq. Does everyone REALLY think that the world is not safer with Hussein gone? And BTW - Clinton had a chance to nab bin Laden - don't blame Bush for that! I also don't recall any, um, blue dresses coming out of the oval office while Bush was President.
ReplyDeleteI just have to comment on the Palmolive thought....I just had the same moment last week and delighted in how a dish soap could make dishwashing less of a chore because it was accompanied with a trip down memory lane :)
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon your blog today. It is so nice to meet you! I totally agree about what you said about GWB keeping us safe for 8 years. He made mistakes, but who doesn't?
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a happy Spring!
