Why do the kids channels promote and put new episodes of shows on SUNDAY night?!?! How about FRIDAY and SATURDAY nights when the kids don't have to get up for school? A DUH!!
Our dog Tex seems to get bored of his dry food no matter which one we try, so now we save our leftover snacks (crumbs of potato chips, those last few pretzel pieces, the last of the popcorn, etc.) in a container and put a bit of those in the bottom of his dog bowl, then pour the dry dog food on top. Now he ALWAYS eats the dry dog food to get to the little bit of tasty snack at the bottom.
Until they give me a discount, or pay me I REFUSE to use self checkouts at the grocery store. If we don't take a stand, the next thing ya know we'll be stocking the shelves and cutting our own cold cuts.
DH got the song "Mr. Roboto" by Styx stuck in my head the other day and I was annoyed because I think that is definitely in the top ten of "Stupidest Songs That Ever Were Popular". So you know what he does? Sneaks the CD into the car the next car trip we took and hits "play". Niiiiiiice.
I ate 5 green Peeps today.
You will never catch me searching out finance jobs. I hate math and I'm not very good at it. Which is ironic because before my father retired he was a CPA (certified public accountant). I didn't get the math "genes" apparently.
Took Q-ee, our cat, out for an inaugural stroll in the cat stroller the other day. Everything is still dead but I could smell spring. Q-ee will get to go for another stroll with me today to the bus stop to wait for DD.
(Hoping to catch the live stream of Lance Mackey winning the Idiatord before I have to leave for the bus, though! :-)
The end.
LOL at Tex. Spencer herds his food. Takes one out, throws it, then gets behind it, maneuvers, and finally eats it.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh you have to post a photo of Q-ee on the blog. I love his name too.
Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dogfood idea. When my friend comes for a weekend occasionally she brings her two little dogs. They go on "poodle picnics"... grab a piece and go to another room to lay down and eat it!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with getting your dog to eat through the food to get to the treats. I love your random thought posts. You're very awesome at it. However, I will hate you until that Mr. Roboto song is out of my head.
ReplyDeleteI, too, refuse to use the self-checkout lanes in the grocery store. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you were able to watch Lance win the Iditarod. It was great!
We'd tried that trick with our dog, but she always flips her dish or noses out the dry stuff. Grrr. The critters that eat the dog food are the stupid crows!!!
ReplyDeleteI have always found that the self check-out lines take longer, cause there's always some issue and then you have to wait for a human being to come help you, and by the time that human being arrives, you realize you would have been better off in the regular check-out line.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love peeps. But they must be stale. I open them when I get them and let the air get to them.
Great post! I am going to steal your idea and do this on my blog...with a linky loo..of course!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea about the snack at the bottom of the dog bowl!
Yes, what a dumb song! Sorry its stuck in your head! My blog song is stuck in my head. Its from Curious George.
I watched the live coverage of Lance! He's a pretty awesome strategist, huh?
Great post! :)
I don't use those self-checkouts either. Just think if everyone did, that would put more people out of jobs. I hate those self-service gas stations too! Can't even find a full-service one anymore where they pump my gas, check under the hood and check my tire pressure. Sad to say, but I think those days are gone forever. Hopefully, it won't get to that point in the grocery stores too!
ReplyDeleteI could "smell spring" yesterday at our house. The farmer had disc'd up a field nearby and the strong earthy smell of dirt was delightful :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Thanks for the input about non-sulfate cleansers!
Shadow was always a picky eater and always had to have some type of seasoning to entice him, so it was a couple pieces of dry popcorn to start, but when Bill had to stop eating it because of the kernels I stopped adding it and started slicing up carrots really thin and that did the trick and it was healthier for him also.
