Just wanted to check in and keep in my routine - I am going to say that I stayed the same this week. We have just a plain, old fashioned scale and when I step on and off, it seems like one time it says I didn't lose, but the next time I step on, it says one pound less. I stepped on an off probably 8 times, and it seemed 50/50 either way, so let's just say I didn't lose anything this week, and I'll be helping to shore myself up for a good loss maybe next week.
My Weight Watchers online membership ends soon, and I have spent a lot of time thinking about how I am going to try to keep the weight off this time. As that draws near, I'll share with you my thoughts and my strategy.
Weight Watchers is a great plan, but I really don't want to do this a fourth time.
The end.
I got a gazelle for $20 at the local flea market this past Sunday, i swear i think i love this thing. I work out on it 3 times a day for 15 minutes as my doctor directed and it's fantastic. I can feel things tightening up already, i feel better and I think this is going to kick in my weight loss in a big way. Good luck to you whatever you decide to do!!!
ReplyDeletedid you remember to exhale? air has weight you know,.. I always exhale, then end up giggling,.. hee hee....
ReplyDeleteFWIW, I just started counting calories (thank you http://caloriecount.about.com) about a month or so ago and have lost about 13-14 lbs so far (and 1-2 belt holes!), and no extra exercise above what I do normally. People make calorie counting out to be a big pain, but it's really not. I carry an index card of my running total so I can keep score if I'm away from the computer, but as time has gone on, I've learned to guesstimate close enough so that I'm not too far off the mark -- plus I've got about 500 calories of oops space, so at worst I won't gain, but just not lose as fast.
ReplyDeleteIf all goes according to plan, my Wii Fit says I'll be at goal weight sometime in June.
Just my two cents but don't stress over the scales. There's water weight, different times of the month, etc. and the quickest way to sabotage it is to get discouraged. You've done so much and you should be very proud.
ReplyDeleteI think you're doing terrific, Carole! There are bound to be times when there is no change, so don't sweat it. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the snow melting here, so I can go hiking. That's my favorite way of keeping in shape.
I wish we could all eat whatever we wanted and never gain a pound. Wouldn't life be wonderful if it worked like that?
ReplyDeleteHey, you didn't gain!!!! You ARE doing wonderfully well! Keep going! As far as WW is concerned, I don't know how the online program works, but the meetings work where once you get to your goal weight and stay there for six weeks, meetings are free and you become a lifetime member. You just have to go once a month to weigh in, and as long as you're within two pounds up or down of the goal weight you selected, it's still free. You just have to go to meetings long enough to lose five pounds and stay there for six weeks. So, that's 11 weeks of payment, but if you can stay there, then you will never need to do it again, and you will never have to pay again. That's my two cents. :)
ReplyDeleteHey, I like the blog you're advertising today...but that blog needs to be updated!!!! Better get to it! :)
