Photos from our Field Trip to the State Capitol in Albany, NY

I'm not feeling very talkative today, which is probably a good thing, because I am in a very bad mood.  So I'll keep my mouth shut and share some pictures from my DD's fourth grade field trip to the State Capitol that I was lucky enough to be a chaperone on.  Enjoy!

  1. Great pictures!!!!! I haven't been there since 1991, and then I really only went to SUNY Albany. Hubby wants to go...we'll have to go soon! It looks so pretty! That one round building is really funky!

  3. Brought back some great memories! My 5th grade class spent two days there back in 88. We met Mario Cuomo:).

  6. Hi Carole. In 1999-2000, I used to work in the building with the green roof just to the right-front of the "Egg" building. That is a great and detailed picture if you double click on it. I spent New Year's Eve in that building checking computers for problems for Y2K. It was one of the most boring New Year's Eves that I can remember.

Did you know that the State Capitol building was the most expensive structure built in the United States in the 19th century? Albany was spending our money freely even then.

I read each and every comment, and though I don't always get a chance to respond, I enjoy reading (and pondering) what you have to say. Thanks for your 2 cents! :-)
