I Made a Mummy for Dinner
(I know it looks a little burnt, but it's just the grease that leaked out from the pepperoni inside.)
I saw this idea and thought it would be fun thing to serve to my peeps for dinner tonight. The actual recipe I saw had a chicken cordon bleu type of filling, but I had leftover sauce and pepperoni so in the name of frugality, I decided I should use that up. So, I made mine as a "stromboli" and used sauce, deli ham, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni for my filling.
Was that me who was saying a couple of posts ago that I need to try to get back to eating better? Whoops.
These days I hardly cook from cookbooks - I am more often than not using recipes I find online. I think it would be cool if they made little netbooks just for cooking - kind of like how the kindle is for reading books, these could be specifically for use in the kitchen. The little netbook could be for organizing and downloading recipes, and even cooking demo videos and stuff, and it could have some sort of special protective coating or clear cover or something that you could clean cooking "splatters" off of. That would be cool.
Anyway, the Mummy was declared to be very tasty.
The end.

I love your mummy, Carole. It turned out great! I really like the olive eyes. You are so creative. :)
I also think the netbook for cooking idea is fantastic! I would definitely get one.
