Around this time of year, my husband always wants to watch some scary movies, so we request a bunch from the library, and hope that a few come in before Halloween to watch.
Most of them are just stupid, but we enjoy them anyway, for the most part. Seems like there have only been a few that were truly scary. Maybe not even scary, but suspenseful, or at least freaked us out. We just watched Nightmare on Elm Street. I think I saw it years, and years ago, but I didn't remember it. It was actually better than I thought, though I certainly wouldn't call it scary. I think in most of these "horror" movies if the main character would just get their head examined (maybe check their Blue Advantage policy) all this bad stuff would never happen - you know, you spend half the movie yelling, "Don't close that door!", "Don't answer the phone!", "Don't fall asleep!".
(As I'm typing this DH just found Amityville Horror on!)
We saw "Memento" about a week ago. That wasn't "scary" either, but it was pretty clever - we enjoyed that one a lot.
What's the scariest movie you've ever seen? Give me your recommendations!
The end.

I read each and every comment, and though I don't always get a chance to respond, I enjoy reading (and pondering) what you have to say. Thanks for your 2 cents! :-)
