I Need Cat ESP
Our one cat (the small gray one in the previous posts' picture, Basil) is 15 1/2 years old and, well, if you've ever had an old cat, you know how they get. We also have a younger, fat cat (Q-ee is the black and white gigantor cat in the previous post). At night when I feed them, I shut the old cat in the upstairs bathroom so she can eat in peace without Fatty McFatCat swooping in to eat HER dinner too. After about 15 min or so, I go let the old cat (Basil) out of the bathroom so she can be on her way. Only thing is, a couple of times now lately, if I don't let old kitty out fast enough, she has a little "accident", shall we say...
Ok, I'll be blunt, she poops on the rug. She's old, I'm sure she can't help it. So now I somehow have to intuitively know how long to leave her in there so she can finish her dinner, but let her out before she poops.

Instead of needing cat ESP, how about putting Qee into a room by himself until Basil is finished? He won't be happy, but it'll save the carpet.
My cat JenJen says that at least he IS in the bathroom. hee hee.... Good luck, Carole!
