And incidentally, I un-decorated our defective Martha Stewart Christmas tree and returned it to Home Depot this morning without incident. Not sure what we're going to do for a tree.

2011 Gingerbread House
Every year I am a lame Mom and instead of doing a homemade gingerbread house, I buy a kit and my daughter makes that. (It's ok because the pre-baked kit one probably has a far greater chance of success than if I tried to make one myself, ha ha....) Anyway, if you've ever thought of trying one from a kit it's fun and not terribly time consuming. The last few years I have bought the Wilton gingerbread house kit - it's the best of the ones I've tried. Anyway, here's the before:

Believe it or not, I look forward to your annual gingerbread house post. :) I think I have followed you through 3? 4? years ? The houses get prettier and prettier every year. And now I have this insatiable urge for sweets. So pardon me while I crack open my little package of emergency chocolate. :)
