I have never actually had Spam - what does it taste like?
The two grossest things I ever felt obligated to eat were a tuna fish sandwich made with Miracle Whip, and a grilled cheese sandwich made with WAY WAY too much Velveeta (think "globs"). Both of these unfortunate items were served to me when I was a guest. Usually I'll try to choke down anything I'm served out of politeness, you know? Those are the only two things I can ever remember just not being able to eat, even to be polite.
What was the worst thing you ever felt obligated to eat?
The end.

I have these old cookbooks from the early 60s and they are filled with fatty roasts, greasy, slithery chicken skins and carb-laden baked goods. LORD how did these people eat that way and still stay so skinny?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the spam & beans. I've had both and they are awful. Fresh food is so much better.
Ugh that picture is gross!!!
ReplyDeleteI had Spam before, if I remember correctly its very salty. Definitely not something I would crave!
I was forced to eat beets when I was younger, I was at a friend's house and she asked me to stay for dinner. Her mom put beets on my plate and when I told her that I can't stand them, she replied. "Well, we don't waste food in this house, you will eat them". I was so horrified!!!
I ended up eating maybe one and started gagging.
I refused to eat anymore. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful but I warned her how I gagged when I tried to eat them before.
