I used to be LL Beans biggest fan and best customer. I had their credit card, so I got free shipping on everything, which is especially nice in Ak. Well one day I went to order over a hundred dollars in items, and I had not ordred in awhile, and because it had been over six months they sent me to six different departments! I was on hold so long, my fingernails grew. I literally ended up in tears of frustration and hung up a wreck. I could not believe how awful their service had been! So I took a break for awhile, then ordered again. I never was able to use the card again, as it was too much trouble to try. I miss the free shipping! Now i just get holiday free shipping and call it good. They make excellent quality stuff, but prices are a bit crazy. I just poured over the entire Christmas catalog and found a wish list.
Well, good luck! I think their slippers look sooooo cozy. My other wish item is the cute snowshoes. I want some!

Oh yes,... been there (LLB) and done that (found things not in stock) and moved on to Lands End as well. Also Cabelas is a great place to shop, too. LLB has been that way for years! ... sad to say.

I'm a big fan of LL Bean too and I know what you are saying. I've had the same problem lately as well but what they do stock is so wonderful and lasts forever so I guess I'll stay with them but it is frustrating.
